Platform Chemistry

Logo von Akademie der Naturwissenschaften Schweiz
Together with national and international societies, the platform supports the exchange of expertise and promotes young academics in the various fields of chemistry.
Independent, scientific associations in the field of Swiss chemistry comprise the members of this platform. It finds support within a broad network and embraces its tasks in society, economics and politics. Furthermore, it works in close contact with national committees of international unions focusing on chemistry within the framework of the International Council of Science (ICSU).
The Platform Chemistry seeks to firm the recognition of chemistry as a science as part of society, economy and politics. It focuses on the promotion of young scientists and aspires to foster the dialogue between society and politics. For this reason, it annually organizes the “Young Faculty Meeting” or marks historical sites relevant to chemistry as “Chemical Landmarks”.

Year founded: 2007
