We cordially invite you to join us at the SCNAT Platform Chemistry Ethics Series 2023 ETH Zurich workshop on Recognizing and Overcoming Bias on June 8 2023 at Bellavista, ETH Hönggerberg, from 16:00-19:00.

The opening talks will be given by Prof. Lee Penn, University of Minnesota (“Images as Representations of Reality”) and Kaila Yallum, UniBe (“Implicit Bias in Experimental Research”). Prof. Lee Penn will then address “How to Overcome Implicit Bias Everyday”, followed by interactive discussions and an apéro.

PhD students can register for the course Ethics and Scientific Integrity for Doctoral Students in Chemistry by Prof. Christophe Copéret and Prof. Shana Sturla to obtain 1 ECTS point, provided they complete the online component prior to the workshop:
